11/26/10 Dose

FOR FRIDAY      TODAY’S SCRIPTURE READING:  Hebrews 10:11-25

“And every priest stands day after day at his service, offering again and again the same sacrifices that can never take away sins.  But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, ‘he sat down at the right hand of God.’” (Hebrews 10:11-12; The New Revised Standard Version)

How often to we keep making the same mistakes, again and again, thinking that our efforts will bring about a different outcome.  Albert Einstein defined insanity in this way: “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

Today would be a good day to trust not in our own efforts, but in the ability of Christ to offer us a new beginning.

Prayer:  Because of Your sacrifice, Lord Jesus, I can find forgiveness and a better outcome in my life as I trust in your guidance.  Amen.
